They Had Never Seen Cape Perpetua. Until the Wedding Day.
An unforgettable Oregon Coast elopement, a bride's emotional first look, and what happens when you give your floral artist complete creative freedom.
I had the absolute honor of sitting along the trail as the bride and groom walked up to their ceremony site, the Rock Structure at Cape Perpetua.
"Oh my god… she hung them?!"
"It's so beautiful! They're perfect."
And then she saw me, sitting off to the side. Keeping a close eye on my creation as other hikers and visitors passed-by.
"Hailey! Oh my god. These are incredible!! Wow. They're amazing!! Hailey, oh my god."
Proceeding to walk down the aisle hand-in-hand towards a wedding installation that had never been done before, not like this.
"Holy sh*t. Wow."
Until finally, she just stopped in her tracks and started to cry at the sheer beauty of what we had created just for them.
Which, of course, made the whole Posies team tear up.
A moment I will not forget.

What makes this moment even more incredible?
Neither of them had ever been to Cape Perpetua before.
Imagine putting on your wedding dress, walking toward the place where you're about to marry your person, and seeing those breathtaking Oregon Coast views for the very first time.
Now imagine that waiting for you, among all that natural beauty, is a floral installation you've never seen. Flowers designed entirely for you, with no idea what your florist has actually created.
Taylor and Jeremiah were experiencing all of it at once.
The landscape. The flowers. The anticipation of marrying each other. All of the trust they had put into their carefully selected wedding vendors coming together perfectly.
This Is What Full Creative Trust Looks Like

Wedding florals that exceed the hopes and dreams for your wedding day.
That's the goal.
But Taylor and Jeremiah exceeded my hopes for a dream client, too.
We started with just a few inspiration photos and a list of her favorite flowers. None of which were must-haves. Just a little "take what you like from this."
She gave me one flower she didn't want included, told me she loved foliage, and mentioned that she was dreaming of weeping florals.
Past that, they let me run with full creative freedom.
No rigid mood board. Actually, we had no mood board at all. I did spend hours on Pinterest during my planning stage for this but nothing did justice to the vision in my head.
We didn't even have a predetermined list of arrangements that needed to be made. No this-to-go-there nothing but a vision, trust and the right team for the job.
Just a budget with room to make magic happen and complete trust in the floral artist they'd hired.
And for a floral designer, that kind of trust is everything.
It gave me the freedom to create something that hadn't already been imagined. Something inspired by who Taylor is, their love story, the incredible landscape surrounding their wedding, and all the little details she'd shared with me.
"I Felt Like She Transported Me to My Very Own Garden."

After their elopement, Taylor shared a review that I will treasure forever.
"Hailey is magical! Her company is so beautiful and she creates absolute masterpieces."
"By the time I walked up to our elopement at Cape Perpetua I was speechless. She exceeded well beyond my wildest dreams. I was crying at the sheer beauty of what she did."
But there was one part of her review that especially stayed with me.
"I adore flowers, I mean really adore them. One of my favorite hobbies is visiting floral gardens all over the world and I felt like she transported me to my very own garden. The flowers were so me, they were local and stunning."
Her very own garden.
I can't think of a more beautiful way to describe what we'd created for her.
And I think that's what makes custom wedding floral design so special.
It isn't about checking flowers off a list or recreating a photo from Pinterest.
It's about taking the pieces of someone's personality, their inspiration, their story, and turning them into something they never could have imagined for themselves.
Weeping orchids, vines dancing in the wind, garden roses next to Cafe Au Lait dahlias and campanula bells.
Something that makes them stop in their tracks.
Flowers That Dance With the Oregon Coast Wind
Now, let's talk about what it actually takes to create a hanging floral installation at Cape Perpetua.
Because the Oregon Coast isn't exactly known for cooperating with wedding plans.
The wind does what it wants. The weather can change in an instant. And when you're designing flowers to hang freely in an exposed coastal setting, you had better know what you're doing.
Here at Truck Full of Posies, we're not afraid of the Oregon Coast weather.
We're aware of it, intentional, and we take the extra steps to ensure our designs stay as beautiful as they arrived, no matter what the wind and weather decide to do on your wedding day.
For this installation, every single stem was cold-glued into place.
Every. Single. Stem.
Giving the flowers the freedom to dance in the breeze without the stress of them slipping out of place.
The movement wasn't something we needed to prevent. It was part of the design.
Those weeping florals Taylor had dreamed about could move naturally with the wind, creating something that felt right at home against the dramatic Oregon Coast landscape.
And while the finished installation looked effortless, there was nothing accidental about the mechanics holding it all together.
With us, you can expect top-quality blooms, intuitive design, and intentional mechanics.
Because beautiful flowers are one thing.
Beautiful flowers that can handle an Oregon Coast wedding? That's where experience matters.
The Kind of Wedding Flowers You Never Forget

Taylor said something else in her review that brought me right back to that moment at Cape Perpetua.
"I would get married all over again just to have her grace me with her talent and beautiful pieces."
And then:
"I cannot tell you in words the impact you had on me, on us."
That's it.
That's what we're trying to create.
Not just beautiful wedding flowers.
An experience. A feeling. A moment that becomes part of your story.
Flowers that you remember long after the wedding day has passed.
Taylor and Jeremiah, thank you for trusting me and my team. Thank you for giving us the creative freedom to do what we love and for allowing us to be part of such an incredible moment.
I hope that every time you look at your preserved bridal bouquet, Taylor, you're transported right back to that first glimpse of Cape Perpetua and the garden that was waiting for you.
A Little More Magic Behind the Scenes
There's still so much more I want to share about this incredible Oregon Coast elopement.
We have behind-the-scenes footage of the installation, a little unexpected blessing, and a photographer who accompanied the Posies team specifically to document the flowers being created on-site.
Yes, we brought a photographer just for the florals.
We knew this one deserved it.
And I can't wait to share more of what went into making this day so special.
